As an entrepreneur, why do you need to seek a community to belong to?

"Find yourself a community to belong to, learn from and grow with,” remains my favorite sentence of all times!

I lost count of the times I shared this advice with my mentees. Well, I lived this first hand. A year and a half ago, I wanted to move to Dubai and join my husband here. First thing that came up to my mind was taking part in the startup community and exploring available opportunities in the ecosystem after I had fell in love with the startup space. I found a gap in the ecosystem, I wanted to help fill it up. Building up on my expertise in the Lebanese ecosystem, I co-founded Launch DXB along with two great partners!

With Launch DXB, I found and grew my own community to get the support I need as a first-time entrepreneur. I needed connections, motivation, resources, and people who talk my language. I needed to sit with them and discuss the maters that challenge me most. With the Launch DXB community, I found them all! From it, I learned that with a community, and only with a community, I will:

. Fall and always find someone to support me and help me get up! Chances be, that entrepreneur might have committed the same exact mistake as me and learned how to cope with it the hard way. Having them saved me precious time and pain.

. Find people who truly understand my struggles and who can speak to my fears and demotivating thoughts.

. Learn about new tools, hacks, and apps I never knew existed!

Still need more reasons to find yourself a community to belong to, learn from and grow with? Let’s connect, there are tens of communities around that I can recommend.
