· The Country is ranked 1st in the Arab world by the Global Entrepreneurship Index and 5th globally by the Global Competitiveness Report for venture capital availability
· QAR 69M were deployed in local Qatari startups in 2021, a 92% increase in capital deployment as compared to 2020
· 90% of all funding was deployed by private and international firms
· 46% of all transactions were led by Accelerator programs
· 9% of total transactions were in the Series A stage
· 3 Qatari startups cashed 52% of the total capital deployed in the country in 2021
· 1 Qatari Healthcare startup, Meddy, announced acquisition
· FinTech (33% of total funding), Transport, and Logistics led the deal-flows in Qatar
