Ever since I was a child, I had many hobbies. Thanks to my sociable and outgoing nature, I have always been thirsty for new experiences and projects to accomplish.⠀ ⠀ ⠀
Back in the days when a little spare time was all it took to commit to those hobbies, being busy all day long was joyous and fulfilling. As I grew older, however, and as responsibilities grew too, the equation changed!⠀ ⠀ ⠀
It took me way too long, exactly until last month, in order to realize that I must work to free up my schedule and not do everything in one go. This realization came to me shortly after I took on an additional role, at MAGNiTT, along with Launch DXB. Taking on this role got me to train myself to curb the urge to scratch off all those notes on my to-do list. Instead, I now allocate time and effort to tasks more reasonably.⠀ ⠀
Three things I learned in a month:⠀ ⠀ ⠀
• It takes time to train yourself to get rid of old bad habits. Don't be too hard on yourself.⠀
• You will always find something new, more interesting than what you are doing, that can distract you. Stay focused on what really matters and where you want yourself to be.⠀
• Productivity applications are amazing tools to set your goals, track progress, and hold yourself accountable. My favorite is Trello.⠀ ⠀ ⠀
So, let me ask you now, can things wait?
