Struggling with sales?

I am told that I am great at outbound sales & at starting new conversations. My sales reports strongly agree with this claim as well!


Want to know what I do? Here are a few pointers:


• I only start conversations that I know have mutual benefit.


• I convey curiosity, rather than force a sales pitch.


• I treat others the same exact way I wish to be treated and approached!


• I start off with a LinkedIn message, so if they don't know who I am, it will take them one click to read all about me.


• My connection message is short, clear, and sweet.


• I follow the company's LinkedIn page and keep an eye for major updates.


• Upon connecting, I send a straight and to the point message stating: what I do, whom I worked within the prospect’s similar space, and how I believe I can add value to their company.


CTA to book a call? No CTA except "If you would like to learn more, I am happy to send an email with further details." This sentence intrigued by itself a lot of curiosity and led the way to schedule a call, without the need for sending a detailed email.


• I do not invade their inbox with exhausting follow-ups. Instead, I wait till the right moment to send the right email.


They raised a new round? Well, this is the right time to reconnect and offer my UAE & KSA expansion consultancy. The new round should definitely entitle expansion plans.


• I drop needless conversations very quickly.


No, I do not get attached to conversations that are going nowhere. Some entities cannot be sold on your services and products, even if you were the best salesperson. If it is not the right time, with the right arrangement, your prospect will not make them buy from you.


• I did not win a client? Well, I believe I still won a new friend and a new acquaintance. I keep on following their journey and celebrating their wins. Nobody knows; by the time they are ready to expand, they will definitely know whom to turn to!
